ADVENTURE GUIDE

A Letter From The Workshop

Cate, our social media assistant, visited the ROF workshop for the first time, and it left its mark. In her letter, she shares what it felt like to step into the heart of ROF-Style, where every boot and clog is shaped slowly, carefully and by hand.

“Visiting the ROF-Style workshop for the first time was something special. Watching each boot and clog come to life—crafted entirely by hand—gave me a whole new appreciation for what goes into making them. Every cut, stitch, and finish is done slowly and deliberately, with so much care and pride. It’s only when you see the time and effort that goes into creating just one pair that you truly understand: a small scratch or slight mark isn’t a flaw—it’s proof that these weren’t made in a factory. They were made by people.

Glamping wedding

What really struck me was how small the team is. Just a handful of people in a warm, sunlit workshop, working quietly with their hands. No big machines, no mass production. Just real craftsmanship.

South Africa Wedding

There’s something really grounding about seeing it all come together. You start to feel connected to what you’re wearing—knowing the story behind it, the hands that shaped it. It’s a reminder that slower, simpler, and more thoughtful can still exist. And that’s something I’ll carry with me every time I put my boots or clogs on.”
